I recently finished a book entitled "The Anthropology of Turquoise" by Naturalist Ellen Melloy, and got this idea from her where you might be able to 'keep' water with you, or even wear it, even if it were just mere sentiment, like in a ring or through the saturated tones of a particular stone. I felt the shadowbox style inherently carries this concept well, and so I've made you a ring where your 'River' can always be found. This particular one in a flashy Labradorite that is reminiscent of deep pools in shady places.
OOAK for August 2023. Set in Fine and Sterling Silver, in a traditional 'shadowbox' ring, with 6mm double half-round hammered ring shank.
Ring fits size 10. Measures 1 1/4" long and 1" at her widest. My signature coin is on the backplate, and the entire piece has a rough hammered texture. This is a stout ring, and will live up to the best days on the river!
