I recently finished a book entitled "The Anthropology of Turquoise" by Naturalist Ellen Melloy, and got this idea from her where you might be able to 'keep' water with you, or even wear it, even if it were just mere sentiment, like in a ring or through the saturated tones of a particular stone...like sayyyyy....Turquoise! I felt the shadowbox style inherently carries this concept well, and so I've made you a ring where your 'River' can always be found.
OOAK for August 2023. Sierra Bella Turquoise stone set in Fine and Sterling Silver, in a traditional 'shadowbox' ring, with 6mm double half-round hammered shank.
Measures 1 1/4" long and 7/8" at her widest. My signature coin is on the backplate, and the entire piece has a rough hammered texture. This is a stout ring, and will live up to the best days on the river!
*note: if you look closely, this stone has a teeny little 'hole' in it about the size of a pin-top, but I feel like is still a stout stone, and is only a natural inclusion in this stunner piece of Turquoise. This is your disclaimer.
