Inspired by Frida Khalo and her penchant for big jewelry...
Triangles to dangle your ears!
I made these earrings, and then immediately thought of Frida Khalo.
She's the muse of all artists, I'd say...
and especially as a metalsmith,
I admire her creativity and her disregard for what was 'stylish'
in order to define it for herself.
May we all be a little like Frida.
Sterling Silver layered triangles hang from Antique Ghana Glass I found at the African Market in Tucson this year, after many many years of searching! These earrings originally made their debut in the 2019 catalog, but after having a very difficult time sourcing the right beads, I had do discontinue them...until now! Yay!
Stamped and finished with liver of sulphur for that gunmetal shine.
French Earwires. Hang 2" long in total. Very light and lively!
These particular beads are a very lovely faded denim BLUE, and are crunchy old Antique African Ghana Glass, just like I imagine Frida would appreciate. Please allow for differences in each set of earrings, as these beads are old and handmade!
