In honor of all the Orchids I couldn't take back to the mainland with me.
In bits and pieces, this statement has FINALLY come to fruition. That folded origami piece I made almost 3 years ago, and in a fit of frustration, I put it in 'jewelry jail' and it never saw much attention after that. This little origami folding has finally made its way into the world as intended, as an Orchid. Or something of the like. In the most Orchid-y Purple I could muster!
Ocean Jasper in Sterling and Fine Silver, fabricated and folded into submission! Strung on 3 different strings of Antique Ghana Glass beads in the most lovely dusty plum color. I added a few Sterling beads in there for a little cohesion. Bead caps are hand-fabricated. Llobster clasp & components finished in a gunmetal gray patina. Necklace hangs at 29 1/2".
OOAK for June 2025.
