Snowshoe Hares for this deep winter of 2023!
Inspired by the Chinese Astrological year of the Water Rabbit. For me, this relates in snowy landscapes and shadow dances, magic and hope in a very long Montana winter.
This piece is a gorgeous cut of Ocean Jasper from my main man Merlin down in Livingston. He didn't understand my draw to this muted Jasper when I picked it, and thought maybe I should pick out something more colorful. But there's something mysterious about the tones of this stone. Something so very...Wintry.
Piece is set in Fine and Sterling Silver with 14k Gold Fill accents. Hangs from pattern chain like an Opera-style necklace would, around 28" not including pendant. Necklace is slightly adjustable up and down the chain with lobster-style clasp. Backplate is a peek-a-boo into the back of this Ocean Jasper, with my signature coin on the back. I've added one 14k Gold Fill disc to the chain alongside silver ones for a little dancing shimmer in the chain.
Pendant measures 1 7/8" long, 1 1/8" wide including Gold Loop.
