PENDANT AS IS: Please see my notes and FAQ on this kind of work HERE.
I've been hoarding away these stunning blue rocks of Merlin's for years. It felt time to bring these into the fold in a real Hawaiian way. I've set these pretty simply, because there's nothing prettier than a blue rock that hits ya some kinda way. This time, it's Chrysocolla.
I've cut an abstract water 'wave' motif on the back, with my signature coin. Entire piece is finished in a dark patina and brushed for a gunmetal shine. Strung on an 18" thin double rope chain . Pendant measures 2" at her longest from double ring bail to bottom of piece, and 3/4" at her widest.
THIS PENDANT IS SOLD **AS IS** AT A DISCOUNT BECAUSE OF THE BAIL PARTIAL ATTACHMENT. PLEASE SEE BELOW ON AS IS WORK. As I was setting this stone, at nearly the very end, I caught that the top ring to attach was only soldered on one side, lookers left. My apologies! I usually catch this type of thing, but alas, I did not catch this until final polish. Instead of pulling the stone and re-soldering, I am offering it at a small discount due to the oversight. This piece is stout, and should stand the test of time, and would really require some heavy wear for this to ever become a problem. Heavy user jewelry wearin' girls beware. You know who you are (wink!).
***AS IS WORK*** is something I sometimes offer, when things go sideways in the studio but I still feel like the piece could be yours, for a discount. This kind of work is rare, and includes things like stones that may have cracked or discolored during setting, dropped on the way out of the studio, a slightly marred or scratched silver finish that can't be reworked, or a crooked setting not noticed until photography. These are just a few examples, but handmade jewelry can run the gamut of funky quirks and mistakes. This 'AS IS' work will ALWAYS be clearly labeled as such in the listing, and is offered at a lower price than it would usually retail for, due to the flaws or defects detailed in the listing, and this piece IS FINAL SALE. I only offer this when I feel like the mistake on my part may not bother you, the customer, and is still a quality item to offer. Obviously this is a judgement call on my part, and on yours. I hope you trust me in saying that I offer only products I stand behind, but you are purchasing a flawed piece that may need love in the future, including glue or a complete re-work, and you will be paying for any extra work in the future this piece may need.
