I have been thinking a lot about magic. Not the pull-the-rabbit-outta-the-hat kind, but something more….real.
Is it us? Are we, these crazy human bodies, conduits for...magic? Is it our mere existence and our crazy complex brains and the beautiful things we make and do and sing and build…somehow…that magic? Or is it molecular, like photosynthesis. Like air so thick with water it materializes from its invisible version into dense fog over lily pads on a dusky August evening. Is it like the Aurora colors in the northern darkness, weaving in and out of our sight? Is it a thing we know is possible, but hard to materialize? Is magic just a form of love that cannot be named? Is magic akin to faith?

These earrings were a quick study in post style earrings this August, when the studio wasn't so hot and I could (sort of) think straight. OOAK for Late Summer 2024.
