Some pieces are the kind that need some extra time to become, this being one of them. Slated for the Hawaiian collection of the year, she never made it. I danced around the components all summer. All there, all made, but not together. It drove me nuts.
The trap of being a jewelry designer is this cycle of ‘could it be better if?’ until the piece loses interest and is left to collect dust. This is my achilles heel. As are quirky button-ups, apparently. I am aware of myself in a crystal clear way I’ve not experienced until recently. It's like I'm being asked to show up in a different way than I have been. And that's weird, but not bad. I hope to continue this exploration in showing up in a different way, as instructed by a dear old man friend who cuts rocks for a living, but also gives out great advice. OOAK for Autumn 2025. Plumeria motif in Sterling Silver with fat chain adjustable from 16"- 19" and is quite flattering on. My signature is on the back of the piece, and with a new little 'tab' design, lobster clasp and teeny turquoise bead at the end of the chain for a pop!
Pendant measures 2 1/4" at her widest, 1" at her tallest. Stone is a gorgeous Shattuckite in Chrysocolla, cut by Merlin.
