Last summer, I finished a book entitled "The Anthropology of Turquoise" by Naturalist Ellen Melloy, where I was inspired to make this style ring, where you might be able to 'keep' water with you, or even wear it. I felt the shadowbox style inherently carries this concept well, and so I've made you a ring where your 'River' can always be found.
OOAK for Late Summer 2024. Set in Fine and Sterling Silver, in a traditional 'shadowbox' ring, with 6mm double half-round hammered ring shank. This is stabilized Egyptian Turquoise in a very seafoam-y green.
Ring fits size 10. Measures 1" long and just over 3/4" at her widest. My signature is on the backplate, and the entire piece has a rough hammered texture. This is a stout ring, and will live up to the best days on the river!
